The two scrapbooks constitute a unique set of documents of Guido Deiro’s vaudeville and concert career from its beginning, c. 1910, through about 1940. They mainly consist of newspaper clippings (reviews, listings, advertisements, publicity articles, and general news items all related to Deiro). Although most of the items are undated, they were arranged by him in approximate chronological order. Therefore, though the catalog lists dates only where given, it is possible in most instances to date any particular item to within a year or two. Dates have only been noted in this catalog, however, where they are given on the clipping.
