14 November 2013: The Foundation for Iberian Music would like to congratulate Sato Moughalian for receiving the 2013 Ramon Llull Prize for the International Promotion of Catalan Culture. Among other things, this prize was awarded for her performance of the music of Xavier Montsalvagte, particularly at a 2012 concert at the Morgen Library and the subsequent recording. The prize committee also acknowledged Moughalian’s involvement in a 2010 performance of “Casablancas Portrait” and “KLI révé” from Joan Valent (Ensemble Maya), projects also created under the aegis of the Foundation for Iberian Music.
