Foundation for Iberian Music foundation director Antoni Pizà gave a presentation on Rossini’s “La Veuve andolouse” a few weeks ago, to the Círculo del Liceo in Barcelona.

The event also featured a performance by baritone Simon Orfila, accompanied by pianist Veronique Werkle. Orfila is currently in cast of the Teatro del Liceo’s production of Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeri, which was the first Rossini opera to be performed in Spain.

While in Spain, Pizà was also invited to give a workshop on music criticism to students of a high school for music in Mallorca.
